Is Asisly HIPAA-compliant?

Asisly is HIPAA-aware: the AI is tuned to refuse and route any clinical-detail conversation to a human staff member instead of capturing PHI. We can also sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) on request — required for HIPAA-covered entities. Email [email protected] to start that conversation. Note: BAAs are reviewed case-by-case during current pilot phase.

Will it transmit any patient health information?

The AI is prompted to never solicit, repeat, or store clinical details (symptoms, diagnoses, treatments, medications, insurance member IDs). When a caller starts sharing PHI, it interrupts politely: "I'm going to have a member of our clinical team call you back about that." Only callback name + phone are captured.

What about emergencies — toothache at 11 PM, child fell, etc.?

You configure your urgent-care policy in setup. AI follows your instructions: route to your on-call dentist via SMS, advise the caller to go to ER, or take a callback for first thing tomorrow. Defaults are conservative — when in doubt, AI escalates to a human.

Does it integrate with Dentrix / Eaglesoft / Open Dental / Athena?

v1 syncs to Google Calendar, which Dentrix/Open Dental/Eaglesoft can typically import. Direct integrations with Dentrix Ascend, Open Dental, and Athena are on the Q4 roadmap. Email us if you need a custom adapter — we have a few BETA partners.

Can it answer pricing questions for self-pay patients?

Yes — for cash-pay services you've configured (cleanings, exams, whitening, basic restorations). For anything insurance-billed, AI redirects: "Coverage depends on your plan; let me have someone verify your benefits and call you back." Honest, never invents a price.
